Pomodoro Technique

“ The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. The technique uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks.”

It’s a method to fight your procrastination in order to become more productive and self efficient up to maximum limits, and to know the secret of getting things done timely and perfectly.

What is Procrastination?

Procrastination is the avoidance of doing a task that needs to be accomplished by a certain deadline. OR The action of delaying or postponing something.

This technique has the following steps.

To Complete my PW i decided to break the procrastination which are compelling me to become a lazy person.

Today i decided to wrote on that task which is not difficult for me but these procrastination or delaying habit can make it difficult for me to overcome.

I have a cricket competition at my community right after the vacations I am the captain of my team and I am really good at batting as well as am a very good spinner but due to study teaching and many other engagement i am not practicing it for 2–3 years and according to famous proverbs:

“Practices make a man perfect”

I decided to practice and polish my skills

  1. Decided the task to be done: I decided my task which is to practice spin bowling and become a potential spinner by using this technique.
  2. Set the promodoro timer: I set the time of 25 minutes on my mobile.
  3. Work for the duration of the timer: During this time i bowled the batsman(my younger brother). I bowled 30–35 times some were are dot balls, some were sixes, some were fours and some time i clean bold him. During this time I face some distractions which were my mother calling us for the lunch etc and write these distraction on paper. There were no other distraction.
  4. Take a few minute break & set the timer again: After the few minutes break I said the promodoro timer again and repeat the above steps again.

Experience: I found this technique very useful at the end I was able to do more dot balls or even made in overs in a given time without being panic. It was an outstanding experience and this technique proved very easy for me to act upon. This technique helped me a lot to work on my task with more concentration.
